A couple of times when I've grabbed my guitar off the stand, I've gotten an ESD shock. I had the same issue on that machine so, it looks like I have a bad cable, unfortunately. Just thought I'd see if anyone here had some ideas before I contact Ubisoft, which I expect to be a drawn out, irritating process.ĮDIT: I dragged my XBox 360 out of the closet and tried the cable with the original version of Rocksmith. But, then after a happy dance, I went to the other room to get a beer, and it wasn't working when I got back.

Second, I did get it to work once briefly after a full power cycle on the computer. So, the cable is passing the signal on some level. it won't let me proceed past low E but, sometimes (not always) I can still see the animated sound waves coming from the amp when I strum. First, because sometimes when I'm on the tuning screen, there is no sound from the strings. The next logical guess would be the cable itself but, while I'm not ruling that out, I don't really believe that is the culprit for a couple of reasons.
#Rocksmith 2014 cable low output sound driver
According to the logs, it doesn't appear that Windows has installed some new USB driver that I'm not aware of so, I don't think anything has changed there. Since the issue arose I haven't been able to get it to work on either. I have my xbox hooked up to a pioneer receiver via HDMI, and my receiver to my panasonic plasma also by HDMI. So if you have a plasma tv.dont worry about the audio lag for 2014. I've gotten it to work with both USB 2 & 3 in the past but, 2.0 has always been more reliable so, that's the one I use. I had a small amount of lag no matter what on the original RS through this set up. I even tried a different guitar, and both guitars work with an amp. I've checked volume knobs and all that stuff. The cable is detected but, there's no sound from the guitar. Suddenly a couple of days ago, I encountered this problem, and haven't been able to get it to work since. I've been using Rocksmith for a month or so with few issues.
